NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.–Acacia Research Corporation announced today that its Service Reminder, LLC subsidiary and BMW North America, LLC, filed a joint stipulation of dismissal of their patent litigation that had been pending in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, bearing Docket No. 08-4979 (SDW) (MCA).

BMW diesel cars still have a future in the United States. Tom Baloga, vice president of engineering for BMW of North America, said that he was confident that a four-cylinder diesel will show up in a range of U.S.-bound models in the next decade.
